Well we knew this would happen. Dont expect to purchase the new Apple iPhone at just any retailer you can find . News service Bloomberg is reporting that only three of 188 Apple Stores, in California, New York and New Hampshire — have phones available to sell today. One analyst has predicted that the shortage will last well into August. Does anyone out there have one? Want to tell us about it?

Teh shortage will preprtyate itself becaus eof the demand. People have got to have it and as with all new tech prdoucts , they wont rest until they hold one of these sleek little gadgets in theit hands.  Now doesn tit see that a company as large as Apple would have anticpated this kind of demand? It does to me, and I think it is a stroke of marketing genuis by Apple

The announcement of the pricing for the new Apple iPhone really caused a ruckus. At 199.000 the entry point was finally affordable to most people , but now the pricing plan from AT&T seems to get you back and if you are an existing user , you really get a nailed . For the actual usage charges, all iPhone monthly service plans are available for individuals and families and are based on a new two-year service agreement with AT&T. Individual plans are priced at $59.99 for 450 minutes, $79.99 for 900 minutes and $99.99 for 1,350 minutes.. Still they wont have any trouble selling these phones.

Virgin Mobile USA Unveils New Pricing Structure

One of the benefits to evolving technology and service is competition. Products debuts are great but you always end up paying for the technology first and it takes time for the price to get in line. Cellular phone service is no different . I can remember paying 300.00 a month for cellular service and carried around a 4 lb cell phone. The competition for cell service is fierce and companies realize consumers will change their providers for a few extra dollars a month. Today, Virgin Mobile USA made a move Tuesday to undercut other mobile providers offering unlimited rate plans. Mobile providers like T-Mobile and Sprint are currently offering customers an unlimited rate plan, with about $100 being the price customers can expect. Virgin Mobile USA cuts the price by $20 — except for customers who also want unlimited text and messaging, with texting, IM, email and picture messages, who will have to pony up another $10

This is similar to what discount airlines do. Make the base price so cheap , you cant say no and then nickel and dime you for extras, but it is an effective marketing strategy , so don’t look for it to go away  .
