The age group believed by many to purchase RVs are no longer predominantly those in their 50s and 60s. With the advent of modern technology comes modern comforts for RVers which have attracted a new age group between 18 and 34. This is currently the fastest growing demographic, which has caused the market of RV sales to change. According to Lysa Christopher, the technology of modern RVs has advanced faster in the last couple years because of this new generation of RV owners, and has allowed for a needed change in the RV industry.

This in in many cases is more than most homeowners have with an established residency, and can cost quite a bit more than an average home would as well. And even more expensive is replacing or servicing these RV parts and gadgets when needed.

Along with these amenities have also come the challenges for finding places for these gadgets to fit within the RV. Most newer models feature large 26 inch to 42 inch screen LCD TVs which hide out of site with a specialized compartment built into the walls. These compartments open and the TV slides out at the owners will. This not only saves on space but also allows for these more expensive gadgets to be placed in safe housing when not in use.

For those who want Internet on the go, companies like MOTOsat, iNetvu and Magellan provide the necessary hardware for satellite as well as full GPS navigation. What can one look at paying for this service and hardware? For starters the price begins within the range of about $5000 for hardware, and service fees at approximately $60 per month which are recurring.

As it seems RVs are no longer a getaway home for those wanting to nap and relax, but rather a home away from home to stay involved with the modern technological advancements that keep humans ever so busy
