Firefox 3 Review , Download At Your Own Risk

Firefox 3, the Web browser from Mozilla, has broken the 14 million download mark. Launched on Download Day this past Tuesday, The company hoped for 5 million downloads in a World Record attempt. The Web browser surpassed that goal, ending up with over 8 million downloads in a 24 hour window.
So with that in mind I decided to as to the total last evening. While some of the features take some getting used to as always with new browsers. Ill get use to that . The big change in Firefox is a new tool that will make it easier to find pages you’ve been before. Firefox Places combines the bookmarks and history into a single package.
Firefox Places uses an SQLite database to store its data. Because it’s a database, rather than a flat file, the next months will bring us a wealth of extensions that’ll allow users to manage their bookmarks and browser history in all sorts of interesting and ways
What I won’t get used to is the fact that this download deleted all my bookmarks. That I will not get over. I personally have over 100 sites, not to mention the sites bookmarked as resources., banking, mortgage companies and the rest.
If you’re can’t to upgrade, make a copy of your profile, so that your bookmarks and settings are safe in case of being lost. Heck, back up your entire hard disk

I had a similar experience with the bookmarks, I should have known better , but I tried it anyway, oh well , its not the end of the world, although it felt like for a minute
